Project Description
Leese & Associates developed the concept and preliminary designs for this hotel in Simi Valley, located in the southwest quadrant of Freeway 118 (Ronald Reagan) and Sycamore Street in Simi Valley. The hotel needed to be compatible with the residential subdivision to the west, so the building massing steps down as it gets closer to the west property line where there will also be a 20’ wide landscaped buffer. The majority of the parking spaces are located below ground. The highway-oriented signage is placed on two sides of a “bell tower” next to the freeway for visibility. The porte cochere is located within in a courtyard formed by the north and south wings of the hotel.
