Jewell / Evans Pedestrian Bridge, Denver, CO
Project Description
The pedestrian bridge connects the RTD light rail station at Evans Avenue to the Platte River regional trail and neighborhoods on the west side of Santa Fe Drive and the railroad corridor.
Leese & Associates’ Role
Leese’s scope of work included aesthetic treatment of the bridge, including the east and west portal compositions, the mid-span observatory, privacy screens, stairs, railings, etc. The illustrations below show the preliminary design that was developed to inform the alternatives and cost analysis.
